The Wiikend
I’m happy to say that I’m one of the “Select Few” that got their Nintendo Wii last friday.
“Select Few? I thought they were safe on the supplies of Wii’s in Europe?”
Yes, “select few”. The supply was extremeley cut short at short notice, and several stores couldn’t even give people that pre-ordered their consoles.
I know for a fact that the GameMania in Hasselt got gimped real badly. They had about 60 pre-orders, and only got 20 consoles. The lady at the store told me as well, that there was a poor kid in front of the store in the morning, waiting for it to open so he was the first to get a Wii. He had been waiting for a while in the pouring rain, only to be denied a Wii…because he did not pre-order. Sad…
Anyway, I feel sorry for all of you poor losers, because I spent practically my entire weekend on playing some Wii Sports with my friends. I also played Zelda until 3 in the morning on saturday, and some more on sunday 
(I just unlocked the lure fishing game)
The Wii absolutely lives up to my expectations, and I’m very excited about what the future will bring.
