Kendo Weekend

Update: The weekend was fantastic. I learned very much in these three days. Sadly enough, I forgot to bring home my camera. It will be returned to me next thursday, so don’t expect the photo’s to be online until friday evening.

From friday morning until sunday evening, I will be practicing my Kendo in De Panne. (I leave for De Panne immediately after the training on thursday evening)
I got invited to this little kendo weekend, because in two weeks (the 27th of november) there’s the Kendo Kyu Championship which I will be participating in.
The teacher for this weekend will be sOn, she is also the one that invited me.

A little background on the whole Kendo thing:
I’m a member of the Belgian Kendo Club SeiShinKan (language is dutch), since June 2004. At this moment I’ve got to the third ‘Kyu’ (= class). There are 6 Kyu’s, and after that you can become shodan, the first ‘Dan’ (= grade).
Last year I also participated in this Championship, but when you get your 3rd Kyu, you get to participate in the Shiai’s (= battles).

You can expect an update with photo’s of the weekend after I get back.
